We began on July 11, 2014 as a Lending Group in Zidisha.org and we remained the only

group focused on solar and other forms of green energy until Zidisha ended Lending Groups. AfricaLeap.com needs your volunteer expertise in web design, outreach, blog

posts, artwork and social media as well as cash donations. We also welcome expertise, recommendation and analysis of suitable green energy technologies and entrepreneurs.

​Originally, Zidisha allowed lenders to charge interest, with the understanding that lent

dollars should really be considered a non-refundable donation to a for-profit organization,

as opposed to profitable investment. More recently, Zidisha offers no-interest repayment to lenders, with loss waivers for non-performing loans.  Zidisha appears to now be officially

non-profit and mechanisms for tax deductions are in place.  Please explore, act and
